Lhasa & Thimphu Highlights

 

 

 

 

Itinerary :
Day 01: Arrival in Tribhuvan Int'l Airport. Transport to Hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu in Twin-sharing / Single-supplement* basis in BB plan.
Day 02: Drive, Visit Bouddhanath Stupa, Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Overnight stay in Kathmandu in Twin-sharing / Single-supplement* basis in BB plan.
Day 03: Flight, Kathmandu - Lhasa (3600m, 1hr. 10mins). Transport to Hotel. Overnight stay in Lhasa in Twin-sharing / Single-supplement* basis in BB plan.
Day 04:

Lhasa Sightseeing Tour (Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor market). Overnight stay in Lhasa in Twin-sharing / Single-supplement* basis in BB plan.
Day 05: Lhasa Sightseeing Tour (Drepung monastery & Sera monastery). Overnight stay in Lhasa in Twin-sharing / Single-supplement* basis in BB plan.
Day 06: Transport to Airport (02 hrs drive). Fight to Kathmandu. Transport to Hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu in Twin-sharing / Single-supplement* basis in BB plan.
Day 07: Flight, Kathmandu - Paro (2200m, 55mins). Drive to Thimpu (2736m). Overnight stay in Thimpu in Twin-sharing basis in BB plan.
Day 08: Thimpu Full Day Sightseeing Tour. AM visit Zeleukha Nunnery, National Library and Memorial Chhorten of His Majesty Late Jigme Dorjee Wangchuk. PM visit Stroll down town to the Handicraft Development Corporation for all kinds of traditoinal handicrafdt products of Bhutan. Overnight stay in Thimpu in Twin-sharing basis in BB plan.
Day 09: Drive, Thimpu - Paro (65kms, 02hrs). PM visit, to see Drukgyel Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang. Also can see Majestic Jhomolhari Mountain also known as the mountain of Goddess (7314m) on the clear day. Visit National Museum. Overnight stay in Paro in Twin-sharing basis in BB plan.
Day 10: Drive to Paro Airport. Arrival at Kathmandu. Transport to Hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu in Twin-sharing basis in BB plan.
Day 11: Free Day. Overnight stay in Kathmandu in Twin-sharing / Single-supplement* basis in BB plan.
Day 12: Airport Drop-off. End of Program.

 

 

 

Price for the Trip :

The cost for the trek or tour will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you choose in Kathmandu and/or another destination will make a difference to the overall costing (budget to 5 star accommodation). The mode of transportation you prefer is the another factor which affects the cost of your package, for example prices change significantly between flight versus private car/van, tourist/local bus. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. From above reason the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
